Terms of use

Draftly is free to use. You can build resumes, import existing ones, track jobs, and export to PDF or DOCX without paying and without an account. There are no watermarks and no export limits. If paid features are ever added, the things that are free today are described in our Privacy & data page and on the homepage, and we won’t retroactively put them behind a paywall.

Your resumes and everything in them are yours. We don’t claim any ownership of your content, and because it stays in your browser, we don’t hold a copy of it (see the Privacy & data page for the details). You’re responsible for keeping your own backups — exporting a file is how you do that.

Draftly is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. We work to keep it reliable, but we can’t guarantee it will always be available, error-free, or that an export will be accepted by any particular employer or applicant tracking system. To the fullest extent allowed by law, Draftly and its makers aren’t liable for any loss arising from your use of the site — including, especially, the loss of locally-stored work if your browser data is cleared. Keep your own exported copies.

Use Draftly to build resumes and track your job search. Don’t use it to break the law, to attack or disrupt the service, or to try to extract other people’s data (there isn’t any on the server to extract, but the rule stands). That’s about it.

We may update these terms as the app grows — for example when optional accounts arrive. The “last updated” date above will always reflect the current version. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
