Profile

Applied data scientist with 6 years translating large, messy urban datasets into decisions that make cities healthier and easier to move around. Combines statistical modelling with clear visual storytelling and a strong instinct for when the data needs more context.

Experience

Senior Data Scientist04/2022 – Present

CivicMetric · Toronto, ON

Developed a neighbourhood heat-risk model using satellite imagery, tree canopy, and census data; city teams now use it to target cooling investments across 120 communities.
Built a transit reliability pipeline that joins 18 data sources and reduced weekly reporting from two days to under 20 minutes.
Designed an evaluation framework for protected bike lanes, measuring safety and access outcomes across 42 km of new infrastructure.
Presented technical findings to planners and elected officials through concise maps, uncertainty ranges, and decision-ready dashboards.

Data Scientist07/2019 – 03/2022

Northline Research Lab · Montreal, QC

Analysed five years of travel survey data to identify gaps in late-night transit access for shift workers.
Created reproducible geospatial workflows adopted by a 10-person research group, reducing manual QA time by 45%.
Co-authored two peer-reviewed studies on commute equity and presented findings at the Canadian Urban Transit Association conference.

Research & Delivery

Cool Corridors2024 – Present

Heat exposure and shade access · Toronto

An open, block-level indicator set that pairs pedestrian routes with shade and surface temperature, helping public-health teams prioritise tree planting near schools and care facilities.

Where the Bus Waits2022 – 2023

Transit reliability dashboard · Ontario

A streaming data model and public dashboard that flags recurring delay patterns by route, time of day, and weather condition.

Technical Skills

Education
